practice and to answer some of the questions you may have.

Doctors
The doctors of Spectrum Eye Institute are dedicated
doctors who practice the newest techniques in eye care, whether it be
LASIK laser refractive surgery for nearsightedness, farsightedness and
astigmatism, or no-stitch cataract surgery, diabetic retinopathy,
glaucoma or macular degeneration. The doctors are committed to provide
their patients the most advanced, progressive, and highest quality eye
care to enhance their way of life through improved vision.

Laser Refractive Surgery
LASIK (Laser Refractive Surgery)
Patients that are nearsighted, farsighted or who have astigmatism have
found out about the benefits of having refractive laser. We offer FREE
consultations to see if you would be a candidate for this exciting

Emergencies
Emergencies can arise after hours.
All offices have a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week answering service. The doctors
can
always be reached. We keep a certain amount of time available during
office hours so you may be seen.

To make an appointment for any office, call our receptionist at (815)

We make every effort to stay on schedule, but emergencies may arise
which must be seen before routine visits. We regret any inconvenience
this may cause you, and we will notify you if there is a significant
delay or if your appointment date or time must be changed, if time
allows.
Office Visits
On your first visit with us, bring your glasses and a list of
medications you may be taking. Please bring your insurance card and if
you are an HMO patient, you will need to have your referral from your
primary doctor. You will be asked to complete a medical history and
information form. A complete
examination can take approximately one to two hours and may include an
examination for glasses called a refraction* and dilating or
pupil enlarging drops to enable the doctor to see the inside of the eye.
The drops may cause temporary blurring of vision and sensitivity to
bright light. Please bring sunglasses and someone to drive you home.

*Most insurances will not pay for a refraction and you
will be responsible for this charge.
Billing
We accept many various insurances, from conventional, PPO’s and HMO’s.
Our insurance department bills your insurance for you and the doctors
accept Medicare assignment. We also accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover
Card.
Financing available
At the Spectrum Eye Institute we believe financial
considerations should not be an obstacle in obtaining LASIK Vision
Correction. You may choose any of the following payment options
