Dr. James K. Cutler and Associates P.C. Dr. Cutler received his Bachelor of Science from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri where he received a scholarship for academics. After graduation, he was invited to the University of Missouri School of Medicine on full academic scholarship. He completed his doctorate in optometry in 1997 at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He then moved to New Mexico to practice a few years before moving back home to practice in Joliet. Dr. Cutler is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, as well as the contact lens and sports vision sections. He was awarded the Paragon Vision Sciences award for excellence in clinical contact lenses. He has served as a clinical liaison for two contact lens companies. He continues to be on the forefront of contact lens design. Dr. Cutler is the official optometrist for the Joliet JackHammers professional baseball club. He also serves as vision consult for professional athletes. At home, he and his wife Kathy coach their children's soccer teams and assist with their baseball and softball clubs.
